As most here are aware, Florida Representative Robert Wexler (D) has been passionately advocating the immediate start of impeachment hearings in regards to VP Richard Cheney. Last Tuesday evening he lived up to his title as Representative - not only of his constituents in Florida, but also for the now over 206,000 American citizens who realize that these hearings are vital to our survival as a Nation.
After C-Span aired coverage of Rep. Wexler's speech, the numbers have been rapidly climbing. I have no doubt the Quarter Million Person Goal will be met and surpassed as even more folks learn of this massive effort! They also recognize the prime opportunity to have determined voices within the House Judiciary Committee relaying the Will of the People to those who were elected to uphold the Constitution.
I urge you to share this video with all the naysayers out there who dismiss this effort as either 'too late' or 'not enough votes'. Rep. Wexler addresses these excuses with devastating precision and clearly explains the necessity of this action. Don't let the mis-informed and un-informed folks off the hook. By minimizing the true depth of Cheney's malignant influences, they become complicit in his attempts to usurp whatever powers he can lay his hands on. Denial of the situation is not an option - at least not an educated one, if one desires to live in the America that once existed.
Instead of a a drumbeat for war, which has been our soundtrack for the last 7 years, let's proclaim our message of justice, accountablity, and restoration! Remind our elected officials that they serve at our pleasure and that we will not tolerate their departure from the Rule of Law.
Send whatever funds you can to help Rep. Wexler expand the scope of this effort via ads on Google for anyone who searches 'Cheney'. He is using funds from his re-election campaign to finance the ads to reach circles outside the political blogosphere.
