UPDATE: 935 Reasons for Impeachment Hearings - now including Bush!

I just finished reading ikrisarus' diary titled Open Letter to Nancy Pelosi: IMPEACH!  It's one of the best I've seen so far.  I know many of you are sick of hearing about it and don't think it will do any good, it's too late, etc.  I beg to differ.

With all the primary talk about change, the piefights over who's candidate is better, the worry over our worthless healthcare system, and rescuing our flailing economy, we've forgotten that all of those things are insignificant in the face of the destruction of the very framework of our Nation.  

Today we have 935 documented reasons to call for impeachment hearings.  

Not excuses. Not partisanship. Not election strategies.

REASONS.

Ignoring the Constitutional requirement for impeachment is tantamount to complicity.  We, the American People, CANNOT stand for this.  If we do, we are just as complicit in destroying our Nation as those who violate their Oath of Office!  I will not be a party to that endeavor.

I ask you. I implore you. I BEG you, PLEASE contact your representative right now, this moment, to demand hearings into VP Cheney's words and actions be called to account.

I had initially called your office to inquire when impeachment hearings will start for VP Cheney. I was informed that you still stand against it, however, I could leave my comments for your consideration.  We now have 935 documented lies to the American People and to Congress.  If my interpretation of the Law is correct, and I have no doubt it is, these lies constitute a High Crime. It is time you lived up to your Oath to protect us from domestic enemies and DID YOUR JOB! Start the hearings TODAY!

Impeachment hearings are the first step in healing the vast injuries done to us and to others in our name.  Only then can we even think about putting in place the laws and policies to correct the massive damage this Mal-Administration has done and continues to do.  They will not stop unless we stand - resolutely - in their path.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich is going to add Bush to his calls for impeachment! See: Kucinich to Introduce Articles of Impeachment Against Bush on Monday, January 28, State of Union Day.  According to the article at AfterDowningStreet:
